Janet Redler Travel has four directors: Janet Redler, Nick Bardsley, Neil Redler and Dawn Redler. Janet Redler and Nick Bardsley, who originally set up the business, have been in the trade for many years. Neil and Dawn Redler, Jan's son and daughter-in-law, both have a backgound in the Forces and bring additional energy and enthusiasm, as well as significant organisational experience, to the company. The skills each director offers means we can truly claim "Relax, you can do no better!"
Janet Redler is our Managing Director and, with Jan at the helm, you can have complete peace of mind that your tailor-made tour will be planned to the smallest detail. Passionate about service, Jan isn’t satisfied unless she exceeds your expectations!
Jan has designed tours for travel writers, including from the New York Times and English Garden, individuals, couples, groups of friends and family, and large groups too, some with exacting briefs and others who give a flavour of the tour they would like and Jan takes care of the rest.
Jan’s knowledge and attention to detail means that people come back time and again, with a high proportion of tours booked through personal recommendation.
Most Unusual Tour Planned (so far) – An ancestral tour for ‘Cedar the Welsh Corgi’ from Florida. Alas, no royal bloodline was found!
Scariest Moment – ‘Coasteering’ whilst conducting a radio travel broadcast for Radio Canberra, Australia.
Most Rewarding Moment – When the US Consul General came to listen to a US Youth Choir at Stormont Parliament Buildings, Northern Ireland, during their 2013 tour.

With a background at a senior level both in private business and public administration, Nick is our Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the administration and the finances of the business. As an academic historian who studied at Oxford University in England, Nick takes the lead with our heritage tours, and Nick may be just the contact you need to research your family's roots in the UK and Ireland. When he isn’t busy in the office, Nick is helping his local community as both a councillor and as vice chair of the village hall where he lives.
As Director of Business Development, Dawn is responsible for organising our day-to-day business and ensuring that everything is ready for our clients' tours. Dawn spent over 23 years in logistics and planning, two key areas of the travel business, before retiring from the Forces and joining Janet Redler Travel. Dawn's experience and organisational skills are a real asset to our team! When away from work, Dawn enjoys roller derby, a sport that originated in the United States but which is growing quickly in the UK and Europe, as well as travelling with her family.
Neil is our Director of Operations and has responsibility for overseeing and supporting our group operations team. Originally from North Wales, Neil retired from the British Army and found the travel industry, a completely different field to his previous career. Neil wanted to experience the other side of tourism, so he joined Janet Redler Travel. When not in the office, Neil is a member of the British Reservists and enjoys travelling and exploring with his wife and two daughters Rhiannon and Bethan.
