Delicious winter warmers by a roaring fire, a calendar of buzzing festivals and many, many inspirational landscapes are just some of the highlights of a winter getaway to Ireland, and Tourism Ireland has created a new online film to encourage potential visitors from around the world. Entitled "Winter in Ireland ", the video reminds travellers everywhere just what a great choice Ireland is for a winter getaway. 

Tourism Ireland is the organisation responsible for promoting the island of Ireland overseas as a leading holiday destination and the film is being shared through Tourism Ireland’s social platforms, including Facebook (more than 4.3 million fans worldwide), Twitter (500,000 followers) and YouTube. In 2017, the island of Ireland welcomed 10.6 million overseas visitors.
