Neil Redler is Director of Operations at Janet Redler Travel and he is now heading up our exciting new chauffeur service, providing first class driver-guiding to our clients. Meet Neil in the latest blog about our team!

Neil says that travel has been part of his life for as long as he can remember. "Growing up, I watched my mother, Janet Redler, build this business with such incredible passion. Having listened to her stories and witnessed her dedication since I was ‘knee-high’, it felt like a natural progression to join the family legacy and help support her vision with my own professional experience."
After spending 25 years in aviation logistics and supply chain management, Neil explains that he has always been fascinated by the ‘how’ of travel, but that his true interest lies in the way those logistics create fantastic opportunities for exploration. “I love the challenge of co-ordinating complex ‘moving parts’ to create a perfect, seamless journey for our guests.
“Working in a family-run business means we truly care about the details, and there is a great sense of pride in seeing a client's dream trip come to life perfectly. I love the personal touch we bring to every itinerary.”

According to Neil, leading a pilgrimage to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) in Northumberland was the most memorable tour he has been involved in. “It was a deeply moving experience to support the travellers on their journey, helping them navigate the physical challenges, while ensuring they had the space to achieve their mental and spiritual goals. Seeing them reach the end of the Holy Island path was unforgettable.”
Since moving back to Shropshire, Neil says he has loved exploring closer to home – from the rugged beauty of Scotland and Wales to trips across the sea to Ireland. “It has been a joy to rediscover the landscapes we share with our clients.”
One of Neil’s favourite places is the small Scottish island of Iona. “If you are looking for true peace and serenity, there is nowhere else like it. The journey itself is just as spectacular – the views while traveling across the Isle of Mull to get there are incredible.”

Outside of work, Neil is an avid runner. “While you'll usually find me at a local parkrun on Saturday mornings, I've set some big goals for this year: I'm training for an Ultra Marathon and a Marathon in Wales, as well as the Loch Ness Marathon.
“We frequently send clients to the stunning Loch Ness area in Scotland, and while I haven't chauffeured anyone there personally just yet, I'm looking forward to getting to know those Highland roads very well – both on foot and behind the wheel!”

For those visiting the UK and Ireland for the first time, Neil has some great words of advice. “Don't just stick to the famous landmarks! While they are iconic for a reason, the real magic happens in the ‘hidden spots’ – the small villages and quiet landscapes. Also, eat like a local. Exploring our unique culinary heritage is one of the best ways to truly understand the culture of the UK and Ireland.”
