In the latest of our blogs introducing the team at Janet Redler Travel, we’d like you to say hello to Charlotte who works on the Operations side of our business, ensuring that all itinerary logistics run smoothly.
Charlotte at Porthmadog Ffestiniog railway station in North Wales
Charlotte’s role includes confirming attractions, managing bookings, handling last-minute details and providing in-country support to clients while they travel.
“As a family-run, bespoke travel company, our customers are incredibly important, and a great deal of care and attention goes into creating each itinerary,” explains Charlotte. “I love that we give clients a hands-on, personal experience.”
Charlotte’s enthusiasm for travel began at a young age. “I moved around a lot when I was younger, which sparked my curiosity about the world and different cultures. I studied Travel and Tourism at college and gained experience as cabin crew, at Butlins Resort, and as a hotel receptionist. These roles built my customer service skills and helped me realise that being a travel advisor is what I'm most passionate about.”
Two of Charlotte’s favourite places in the UK are York and Edinburgh. “York is very walkable, with so much packed into a small area — from York Minster and the city walls to the Shambles. Even after a long weekend, I felt I could easily return and discover more.
“I also love Edinburgh, especially in autumn when the city feels atmospheric and gothic. Highlights include walking the Royal Mile, enjoying views from Edinburgh Castle and taking a ghost tour for both the stories and the history.”

When it comes to working at Janet Redler Travel, the team environment is a highlight for Charlotte. “It truly feels like a family! We bounce ideas off each other, support one another, and having the office dogs around definitely makes the day even better. Nothing a cuddle with one of the pups doesn't solve!”
Charlotte’s most rewarding moment at work was when she helped reunite a client with their passport just a day before their flight home. “Co-ordinating with drivers, hotels and the client to get it back in time was challenging, but seeing their relief made it all worthwhile.”
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys visiting new places and exploring National Trust properties, walking the grounds, discovering the historic houses and learning about their history.
“I also play rounders (a bit like baseball or cricket) for a local league, which is great fun and keeps me active. Playing rounders has given me the chance to meet people from all walks of life.”

Finally, we asked Charlotte what words of advice she would give to someone visiting the UK, Ireland or Europe for the first time.
“I know there's a lot to see, but I'd recommend not trying to pack too much in at once. While the UK and Ireland may seem small, it can be surprising how long it takes to travel between places — especially through the countryside, where roads can be narrow and slow you down.
“Take time to explore beyond the main attractions, try the local food, chat with locals and be open to discovering hidden corners — some of the best experiences aren't in the guidebooks.”
If you or your clients would like to experience a tailor-made tour of the United Kingdom, Ireland or Europe, please do contact our friendly team today - and Charlotte may soon be helping to ensure that your vacation runs smoothly too!
