Blenheim Palace will also be celebrating its own icon of fashion, Sir Winston Churchill, during the exhibition which coincides with the 150th anniversary of his birth.

Kate Ballenger, Keeper of Palace and Collections, said: “We are incredibly excited to finally unveil what’s been years in the making; this exhibition will give visitors an insight into the fascinating world of British fashion in such a unique setting.

Icons of British Fashion is the first of its kind at Blenheim Palace, and to be able to partner with some of the most widely celebrated designers and brands in the world to bring together a collection of garments, accessories and artefacts is something we’re immensely proud of.”

Home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1705, Blenheim Palace was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Set in over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland and designed by Vanbrugh in the Baroque style, the palace is also the birthplace of one of Britain’s most famous leaders, Sir Winston Churchill, and it was his father who described the vista, on entering the Estate from the village of Woodstock, as the ‘finest view in England’.
